BATHROOM/LAUNDRY RENO
Coffs Harbour
This family home was built in the 1980's - a split level, skillion roof house with 3 bedrooms. Eco Dynamic Building converted the small garage into a large 4th bedroom and then went to work on the bathroom and laundry.
The original laundry and bathroom were functional, though old and outdated. More importantly, the original layout did no favours to the flow of the home. The back door exiting onto the deck was small and difficult to navigate. The laundry and toilet were small and overall it was an inefficient use of the space.
All the walls between the bathroom, toilet and laundry were removed and replaced with one wall to create a smooth line from the living to the deck through the laundry/mudroom area.
In the grand scheme of the home, this bathroom (currently the main bathroom) will soon become the en suite to the adjacent master bedroom. In light of that, the bathroom was designed as an en suite.
Custom built light panels above the mirrors and inside the shower niche add a dramatic touch at night and the niche in the shower provides great shower storage. The two mirrored cabinets are recessed into the walls in order to improve practicality and save space.
The custom built laundry cabinets provides ample storage drawers and overhead cabinetry as well as a double linen cupboard and slide out vacuum/broom cupboard. Mounting the dryer on the wall means no wasted bench space or lost under bench storage.
